Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Location: Richmond, MO

A Critical Access Health Care Facility located in Richmond Mo. Since 1956, Ray County Memorial Hospital has provided Ray County residents and surrounding communities with professional, dependable, cost-effective health care. Its Mission is to provide high quality health care to improve the health status of the community it serves. Owned and operated by the people of Ray County.

Ray County Memorial Hospital, employing more than 150, is an award-winning organization with both in-patient and extensive outpatient services. The hospital was recognized by iVantage Health Analytics for performance leadership in financial stability and achieved Level III stroke certification in 2017. Ray County Memorial Hospital continues to upgrade every single aspect of the facility, including a new addition that updates the emergency, lab, and outpatient area. The hospital’s proximity to Kansas City allows many specialists to come regularly to our hospital as well. 148 practicing providers across 18 specialties are affiliated with the hospital. In addition to inpatient and clinic services, the hospital offers senior life solutions, transitional care, and virtual care.

Job Description:
Reporting to Board of Trustees, the CEO is the direct executive representative in the management of the hospital. The CEO is responsible for the administration of the hospital in all its activities and departments to include but not limited to; personnel, budgeting, physical properties, business affairs, medical staff affairs, quality, safety, public relations, and advocacy.

The Community:
Richmond, MO is located just 25 miles east of Kansas City, MO. Home to over 6000 residents, the community includes a historic downtown, shopping districts, great schools, an 18-hole golf course, and approximately 60 acres of parkland. Richmond’s location is convenient to the activities and amenities of Kansas City. Residents of Richmond regularly take in Royals games at Kauffman Stadium, Chiefs games at Arrowhead Stadium, concerts at the Sprint Center, musicals at the Kansas City Music Hall, and symphony performances at the Kauffman Center.

Business Office
ER Admissions Clerk: Abilities/Skills needed: Basic computer skills, great customer service, able to work in a stressful situation, work flexible hours- nights, weekends and holidays, insurance knowledge a plus.

Job duties: Process and complete all ER registration and admission paperwork, answer phones, verify and enter all patient demographics, verify and enter insurance information.
Previous experience preferred.



Environmental Services
House Keeper / Laundry: Full-time M-F 8A-4P, weekends 6A-2P. Must have high school diploma or GED.
Abilities/Skills Needed: Must be able to read and write, follow simple oral instructions, cleaning experience is desirable. Must know how to use common house cleaning devises.
Job Duties: Cleaning and servicing assigned areas. Perform routine repetitive tasks on continuous basis. Follow infection control practices, including hand washing techniques, standard precautions and isolation.

Floor Maintenance: Full-time, M-F 2PM-10PM, rotating weekends 6AM-2PM. Must have High school diploma or GED.
Abilities/Skills needed: Ability to read, write and follow oral instructions. Cleaning experience, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, buffing. Run floor machines.
Job Duties include: Clean and service assigned areas. Perform routine job duties, repetitive tasks, able to work with others.
Experience preferred.




Laboratory
Medical Technologist: Full-time, 7P-7A, Full-time, 7P-7A Shift, with alternating weekends. Board Certified.

Abilities/Skills: Must be proficient in instrument maintenance and problem solving. Must be able to multi task.

Duties: Work as a generalist in the following areas of Lab: Phlebotomy, Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Blood bank. Perform QC and general maintenance, assist in stocking and ordering supplies. Other duties as assigned.
Previous experience preferred.

Medical Technologist: Full-time, 10P-8A Shift, with alternating weekends. Board Certification.

Abilities/Skills: Must be proficient in instrument maintenance and problem solving. Must be able to multi task.

Nursing - Clinic
Registered Nurse: Full-time, 7A-5P- four days a week, Current Missouri RN license, ACLS and Current BLS, willing to become chemotherapy certified.
Abilities/Skills: Good leadership skills, Good decision making and communication skills. Will need good vascular access skills.
Job Duties: Start and manage vascular access. Medication administration including chemotherapy. Will be in charge of Oncology Clinic every other Tuesday. Will also be working in Outpatient Clinic when not busy in oncology. Will need to work closely with the Oncologist and his office staff.
Previous experience preferred.




Nursing - Med/Surg
Registered Nurse: Full-time, 7P-7A.
Current Missouri RN license, BLS, ACLS or ability to obtain in three months.
Abilities/Skills: Good leadership skill, computer skills, good critical thinking, and ability to make good decisions.
Job Duties: Direct and indirect patient care, medication administration, start and manage vascular access, supervises others occasionally, good assessment skills.
Work three twelve hour shifts per week and paid for 40 hours.
Must have previous experiece.

Registered Nurse: Full-time, 7P-7A Shift, Rotating schedule. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current Missouri Registered Nurse licensure, within stat of practice, current BLS, current ACLS (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
Abilities/Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbally, basic computer knowledge (electronic medical record experience a plus), ability to maintain a positive attitude and rapport with patients, patient's family and the community.
Job Duties: Ability to perform head to toe assessments, form and update care plans, administer medications per physician orders, perform within hospital policy and best practices act to achieve the best patient outcomes, familiar with intravenous and central line treatments, teach patients and or family in continuation of care, ability to recognize and report changes in patient conditions.
Work three twelve hour shifts per week and paid for 40 hours.
No previous experience required.

RN Evening Charge Nurse: Full-time, 7P-7A Shift.
Abilities/Skills needed: Current Missouri RN license, BLS, ACLS or ability to obtain upon being hired.
Job duties: Oversee the Medical Surgical Unit Nursing Staff in the evening. Coordinates and directs patient care to ensure patients' needs are met and hospital policy is followed. Communicates appropriately and clearly to physicians, staff, supervisor and administrative team. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and family. Functions as liaison between administration, patient, physician and other healthcare providers.
Work three twelve hour shifts per week and paid for 40 hours.
Must have previous experience.

Unit Secretary/CNA: Full-time, 7P-7A Shift, rotating schedule.
Abilities/Skills: Phone and intercom etiquette, valid CNA training/certificate. Current BLS or ability to obtain within 3 months, basic computer knowledge, knowledge of medical terminology.
Job Duties: Answers unit phone in a polite manner and able to communicate effectively. Prepares medical records for admissions and discharges, enters in written orders with minimal supervision. Ability to float to different patient care units and function in different, stressful situations. Assist with patient care needs at times (toileting, bathing, standing/walking assist).
Work three twelve hour shifts per week and paid for 40 hours.
No previous experience required.





Pharmacy
Hospital Pharmacist: PRN M-F 6:00AM-18:00, Sat-Sun 6:00AM-13PM
Abilities/Skills:
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy degree.
  • Missouri Board of Pharmacy pharmacist licensure with Medication Therapy Services designation in good standing.
  • Must have attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, ability to prioritize and problem solve, ability to mathematically compute and convert drug concentrations and doses.
  • Previous hospital experience preferred.
  • Job Duties:
  • Assess, monitor, initiate and modify medication use according to patient condition and age specific criteria.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate medication preparation and dispensing, supervise and direct supportive pharmacy personnel.
  • Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug related problems.
  • Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate. Compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients.
  • Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
  • Communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.
  • Oversee technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance and dispensing of medications and supplies.
  • Provide patient counseling efficiently and effectively when required. Adhere to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
  • Maintain competence required for position. Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Schedule:
    Rotation in weekends, every third Saturday and Sunday 0600-1200 plus occasional coverage for M-F shifts 0600-1800.
